Product Description Twister is the game that ties you up in knots. Spin the dial and move a hand or foot to the colored circle on the floor mat. Can you get there' dont touch the mat with anything but a hand or foot. It is for 2 or 4 players. It includes a spinner, a mat and instructions. Instructions are available in English and Spanish.
Editorial Review Over forty years old and going strong! Soon after its release in 1966, Twister was made instantly popular when Johnny Carson and Eva Gabor played it on The Tonight Show. Such a simple concept, with so much potential for hilarity. The game includes a plastic mat with red, blue, yellow, and green spots; a spinner; and instructions. To play (as if you didn't already know
), two to four players face each other, with the plastic mat in the center. A referee spins the spinner, then calls out the body part and the color the arrow points to ("Left foot, blue," "Right hand, yellow"). All players, at the same time, follow the directions, placing the appropriate body part on a vacant circle. Players become increasingly entangled, until someone (or everyone) finally topples, and is eliminated. The last person standinger, crouchingwins. If this doesn't bring families and friends (and celebrities) closer together, we don't know what does! Out-and-out fun. --Emilie Coulter

Classic! November 23, 2008 Roxanne R. Brown This is just like I remember it! Spinner spins the arrow and around it goes...Great for young and old. We play this game at just about every birthday party and the grown ups love to have a turn! Has some great educational value. This game has helped my DD's learn colors and lefts and rights. Though they are small and can't reach all the spots across the board. They have a blast! For adults you need to think about how you move. Because it could effect your next move. Durable: So far so good! Even with 3 young kids who use it for other purposes. Cape...dance mat...house
More than just a game November 12, 2008 Beth Johnson (Baton Rouge, LA) I purchased this game as an educational toy for my toddlers; what better way to learn their colors. The mat is very large and "waterproof" so it's great for them to eat snacks on. They use it as a dance mat too.
Even Classics Have Their Flaws June 23, 2008 jrtsjukejoint 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My one complaint is the lack of spaces between the gamers. Everything else is quite nice for non active kids of this day, and age. Though I would recommend an open area to play. The bigger the better, and soft for falls. Carpets verse hardwood or title floors. If, playing, outside keep mat on a level surface. Avoid locations with tripping hazards, or little room to move.
oldie but a goodie January 13, 2008 Lorraine (New York) I was surprised when my kids wanted this toy. They like playing it and I'm sure you already know the game since it has been around for quite some time.
a fine, classic game December 31, 2007 Matthew G. Sherwin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Twister is a fun game especially for kids but of course adults can play, too. It also gives younger kinds the opportunity to identify colors and work on their coordination. Twister is a bit crazy but an awful lot of fun. Someone (perhaps an adult) spins the wheel and people playing the game take turns placing their right or left hands and their right and left feet on the different colors (green, yellow, blue and red) on the mat. The game usually results in kids laughing and having fun while they play the game; and I doubt that a parent would mind spinning the wheel so the kids can some fun. Although people can play this game anyway they want, usually the person who keeps their hands and feet everywhere they should be the longest wins the game. Players can be disqualified for not placing their hands and feet on the correct different colored dots on the Twister mat. As other reviewers note, it is a lot of fun for the adults to watch the kids try to keep up with the game! The game is also easy to store. The Twister game mat, which is made of plastic, folds up neatly into a comparatively small mat that can be stored on a shelf or in the box along with the spinning wheel that comes with this game. Overall, I highly recommend this game for younger children and the kids in all of us. It's inexpensive and a lot of fun. With proper care the spinning wheel never breaks and the Twister mat is relatively long lasting, too.
