5 out of 5 stars Leap Frog Builders   October 22, 2008

The product has several pieces that are interchangable and it goes along with the other sets from Leap Frog that are similar. We have the Music and the Lite Ups and the big play set.

4 out of 5 stars great stacking toy   September 21, 2008

I have a developmentally delayed 2 year old, so I pay a great deal of attention to the educational value of a toy. This one is great. According to my son's physical therapist stacking toys, particularly ones that can be stacked many different ways are important to aid in cognitive development. Plus my son just enjoys stacking them up and knocking them down! They are cute and I don't think it would be possible to break them.

I bought this for my great niece and she loves it. She just turned one and is into putting things together and taking them apart, so this was perfect for her. It is a really cute toy and the pieces are easy for her to hold. She's really enjoying it.

4 out of 5 stars A rainy day toy   August 23, 2008

We've had these since my baby was 6 months old. She's now 1 and plays with these every once in a while. She will always knock them down if I build them up but doesn't build them yet herself. When we discovered Leapfrog has never used any 'bad' plastics (pvc or bpa) we tossed all our little people and purchased all the brightling sets.

These are very vividly colored and well made. The red base has a bell inside of it, the green car blinks with light a few times when pressed and the yellow base is see thru with a few colored beads inside to rattle. The blue middle section expands accordion style (and is remarkably robust), the blue middle has a not so clear mirror with red satin wings while the yellow section has fabric wings and is hollow allowing you to drop one of the heads in. As for the tops, the purple and yellow are standard but the blue is half see thru with rattle beads inside.

Overall we do enjoy them but I'm not sure if we would buy this set again. Then again maybe she'll grow into these more as she turns into a toddler.

5 out of 5 stars Good "first" toys   January 20, 2008

We bought these along with the brightlings matchers for our 8 month old and she really likes them. She is too young to really play with them but they do attract her as she will reach for them when presented with many toy options. As mentioned in my matchers review they are great for the diaper bag because they are small and offer a distraction when needed. I think for the price they are a good value.
