Santa brought this adorable wooden sushi set for my six year old daughter for Christmas this year. We got her a Wii as well as quite a few games. She talked more about the sushi than she did the Wii!

I saw this toy and had to buy it for my Daughters fourth B-day. So many toys available start looking the same and do the same things but this was way different and so cute. I enjoy sushi but my Husband and Daughter hate it, however she loved the toy as she has seen me order sushi out time and time again. She calls it her "sushi counter". I love how strong and well made it is. Very fun and unique, and also a great value for the quality.

I originally purchased this for my niece who is turning one. However, when the package arrived my husband and 2 children, 8 and 6, couldn't stop drooling over it so we opened it and they play with it constantly. It is a great gift for all ages.

We purchased the Melissa and Doug Wooden Sushi set along with the Melissa and Doug Cutting Food Box for our sons at Christmas (see my Amazon review). It was great to mix and match foods from two cultures!
Here's four reasons we enjoyed this toy so much:
1. It was perfect for quiet play and indoor play during winter.
2. We reinforced good eating habits during meals with the playset.
3. Our sons learned a lot of vocabulary, especially verbs like cut, slice, chop, and mix.
4. Our sons had lots of FUN playing with the food box!

I purchased this for my little girl and we have so much fun playing with it. The velcro make the blocks stick together which is fun when you are cutting the sushi and rolls. Lots of fun and very durable! I love this brand!
