Their faces just Lit Up! December 29, 2008 Pamela S. West (Tremont, Illinois USA) I bought "two" Trains actually for my two twin grandsons that first "love Thomas the Train". When they rode them you could just see their happiness and joy!. I had two circles in my living room. It was a blast for us watching them because sometimes they would meet on the inner track and barely hit and the littlest one would get so mad. They were only 1 pound when they were born so they are still rather small at 3 years old. Oh yes ...Grandma and PaPa were stars! We laughed until we cried it was so cute. What a Joy! Perfect gift this year..how could I even come close to topping "Thomas the Riding Train Next Year!! Oh My!!! Pamela West
mon of 2yr old December 27, 2008 Maureen J. Phelps (Milwaukee, WI) My son loves the train, and rides on it for hours on end. However, the battery was low by the end of Christmas day and takes another 24 hrs to rechange which isn't conventient and for the price it should have a better battery. Also bought the Annie & Clarabel 3rd car which attaches for a second child. The train does not work well and barely goes it another child is riding in the attached car. The product could be improved with rubber on the train wheels or groved track and wheels so it doesn't slip. The product needs improvement for the lofty price.
My son loves this toy! December 27, 2008 Alison Griffin (CT United States) We purchased this toy 2 years ago for my son when he was 2 yrs old. He STILL uses this today and the train works as good as ever. I'd agree with the feed back that the major drawback is that the kids need to be able to hold the handle down to make it go (something 2 yr olds don't always understand!) i am sure that is some sort of safety feature? however, we found that taking a small circle of twine rope and tying it to the bar so you can slide it on and off the button (to hold it down) works great. slide it over the button to go and slide it off when your child is done. this avoided many meltdowns we had in the begining when my son would let go of the button and forget how to get it started again. :o) I'd definitely purchase this toy again. The price is worth all the use we have gotten out of it and then some.
Thomas the train ride on train March 31, 2008 Tammy Barcsa (Parkland, Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Thomas the train is an adorable train. Very cute, my daughter is 21/2 and loves the train. The pros are it is very attractive looks just like the thomas cartoon. Very large and the train makes a nice sound. The cons are that it is a little slow.(i have peg pergo green and red sante fe train and they are faster- i keep all three trains on a very large track and have three kids riding at the same time.)the button to make train go has to be bungied to keep going on thomas becouse it is hard to hold for a very long time. All in all the train is wonderful and keeps my daughter and her friends busy for a very long time. Riding time is about 1 1/2 hours.(continuous)
