5 out of 5 stars Best investment for outside   December 3, 2008
Elizabeth J. Novick (Memphis)
This is the best money I have spent for outside play for my two boys, ages 2 & 7. They play in the sandbox for hours...TOGETHER! It is huge. I didn't want to pay the shipping form Amazon, so I went to Toy R Us. It would not fit in the back of my minivan still in the box. So we took it out of the box and put all the pieces in the van. I gave 4 stars for durability because it only took a few weeks for the umbrella to break. I think you can get a replacement from Step 2, for a price I'm sure.

5 out of 5 stars naturally playful summertime Playcenter   September 18, 2008

This is a great porduct. My 18 month old son loves it. I find it to be durable and we have not had any problems with the lid. The umbrella is also a great feature. He loves to have a snack and sit at the picnic table

5 out of 5 stars Great sandbox   September 12, 2008
EDs Mommy (New England)
My 20 month old daughter loves this sandbox - asks to play in it every day. The lid is great; it can hold the sand and toys sitting on top. The umbrella is a nice touch to keep out of the direct sun; but I have yet to see my daughter use the table! Who ever noted that eating lunch after playing in the sand was a bad idea was right - the toys usually end up on the table. No different than the beach though (being careful w/sand and food)! Overall - a great purchase; and I don't regret having the table part of it.

5 out of 5 stars Can't go wrong with Step 2 Products!   July 30, 2008

Sole owner/operator of small Family Day Care, toys take a beating from the children. Step 2 stands behind their products and they are truly durable and worth the money. As for educational value for my preschoolers, this product teaches them a life lesson, social skills (communication & sharing), pre-math skills (i.e. measuring) and problem solving (how do we get this much sand into this tube), and home economics (the use of kitchen utensils) plus small motor skills (use of spoons, sifters, cups) all this is acquired knowledge, available for the children to learn just be 'playing' with this large Step 2 Summertime Play Center! Now, don't you agree the price is worth it? Thank you Step 2.

5 out of 5 stars Love it!   July 10, 2008

It is a good product. It is made in the USA, too. I bought it for less though directly from amazon. Then I had to find safe sand on the market
(it wasn't cheap). So generally we are happy with the product. I consider it to be a good investment into good fun time. I decided I would rather buy less all kinds of plastic toys to justify this expense.
