5 out of 5 stars Little Tikes Easy Store Large Slide   December 21, 2008

The Little Tikes Slide is great for indoor and outdoor play, very durable and easy to put together. My daughter loves it, we have it in an indoor playroom.

1 out of 5 stars Dangerous for Toddlers   December 4, 2008
Kiwi (Mississauga, Ontario Canada)
Bought this slide for our toddler to use indoors and I wish we hadn't. Two reasons - the transition from the steps to the slide is precarious at best - I'd recommend only buying slides with a platform at the top for youngsters to make the transition from climbing up to sliding down - our toddler almost fell off a few times and we had to be there with him to make sure he didn't go skydiving onto the floor.

And second, as others have pointed out, the slide is ffairly steep and fast and ends abruptly at the floor, without any kind of safety lip or flattening out. A child sliding down this slide will go down really fast, then jam his feet into the floor and catapult forward. Ouch!

And assembly was, as everyone else has pointed out, painful. There are far better slides for toddlers and young children on the market. Buy them and not this unsafe piece of junk.

5 out of 5 stars Does what it's intended to do   January 29, 2008

I have a hard time understanding how people are having such a hard time assembling this product. I got it together, single handedly, in a snap. Indeed, there was some jiggering trying to get the bar through all of the holes, but what do you expect? It wasn't *that* hard.

The toy itself is a hit. My 17 month old loves to climb up it and slide down. He's young but adventurous. I had to watch him carefully at the start, but once he got the hang of it, you could see his confidence shoot up going up and down the thing. The adults have a blast watching the little ones taking their turns during family gatherings. It's been a nice thing to have around this winter.

A nice feature is that it folds up and can be stored in the storage area beneath our stairs. This is nice, because we don't have to have it out all the time. I'm trying to think of reasons to give it less stars, but honestly, I'm not able to come up with anything. It's a slide. It's stable. The kids love it. What more do you want?

4 out of 5 stars Even a monkey can put it together!   December 24, 2007

Don't let the other reviews scare you away from this silde! It took my husband 5 minutes to put together. I have 2 toddlers (boys), and they love it. It's great to be able to have it inside or out.
