5 out of 5 stars Excellent (best) set for boy or girl!   November 22, 2008

This set of dishes and cookware is fantastic!! It is a little more expensive than others out there, but they are made in the USA and made from 100% recycled milk jugs! I think that our planet is worth it. This set is really durable as well. I purchased this for my 3 year old son who loves to "cook". My daughters had other dishes and cookware that I decided to get rid of because it just didn't hold up well. This set is made in gender-neutral colors, so it is great for boys or girls. The stockpot and skillet are decent sized (skillet is about 5-5.5" in diameter and the stockpot about 4-4.5"), unlike many play cookware out there. They work well with the play food we have. The dishes are about 5.5-6" in diameter and the bowls are about the same size as the stockpot (4"). The cups are about 2" in diameter. The packaging is made from recycled materials as well, and it wasn't hard to get the product out. Green Toys makes 4 different sets (tea set, gardening set, and sand set as well). I hope they start making more toys because these are excellent! They are fun, durable, great for imaginative play, and teach our kids a little bit about recycling, not to mention very cute!

This is the coolest set. The pieces are super sturdy and the whole thing is eco-friendly. Definately a great value. And the simple cardboard box was very easy to open.

This is a great set. Not only is it eco friendly and made in the USA(if I remember right) it really is extremely durable and safe to use with real food. My girls love it and this set will get lots of love for a long time! Hope to see more from this company in the future!

5 out of 5 stars I have taught my daughter so much through this toy   April 14, 2008

My daughter is five and I purchased this tea set for her as a birthday gift. I immediately felt as if I was doing "the right thing" because it is so environmentally positive. I had her friends over after school and cut up fruit and sat with them and talked about the earth and how we need to take care of it. I told them that when they are all grown up, and assuming I don't save this for my grandchildren, this tea set will be turned into another toy or other "let's try to figure out what it could be turned into." My point was that it won't be sent to a landfill, it will be recreated (recycled) into another cool thing. I think they finally got the idea of "recycling" and now my daughter is asking me all kinds of questions.

This product starts educating us with the packaging and goes on to allow us to introduce concepts to our children that they can finally grasp.

I love it. Finally I can buy a toy that is "green." I will be giving it as a gift for a long time because it will allow me to make a difference in ways that are exponential.
