5 out of 5 stars Great Present   October 9, 2008
mommomof2 (CT)
I purchased this toy as a birthday present for my friend's 2 year old son, he loved this toy! She tells me he enjoys helping his daddy around the yard and it's still a hit all these months later, and has also held up well..

3 out of 5 stars Fun for little one, but LOUD!!!   September 30, 2008
Angela Lee (Madison, AL)
My daughter loves the mower and the trimmer. People have complained about the toys being flaky and non-responsive, but we haven't found that to be the case on ours. The trimmer always works when you push the button and the mower always works when the wheels move and it is turned on. The trimmer doesn't always stop talking very quickly, but it is completely responsive.

That being said, the mower is L-O-U-D!!! In fact, the mower itself is so loud, that it is pointless to turn on the electronics because you can barely hear it talking over the bang-chomp-clang that the mower makes. You can turn off the electronic noises for the mower, but like I just stated, that isn't the loudest part, so that feature is pretty much pointless. I would LOVE this toy if if wasn't so darn loud. It stays in the closet unless we are going to be playing outside and tolerate the noise.

Unfortunately, you can't turn off the trimmer. If you bump the trigger, it goes and there is nothing you can do about it (other than take out the batteries). Other than the inability to turn off the trimmer, everything else about it is great. My daughter loves it. We are still on the original batteries that came with the toys. That isn't saying much about the mower since it stays in the closet the whole time, but it says a lot about the trimmer because it gets a workout around here :D

4 out of 5 stars OK depending on what you're looking for   September 8, 2008

I bought this for my 3 year old on his 3rd birthday. I really purchased it for the weedeater part. He has other mowers. This mower is ok, it is just really loud even with the sound turned off. The weedeater wasn't worth anything. It is really small and runs on its own time. He wanted to act like he was helping daddy do the trim and it doesn't work that way at all. When you push the button it runs for about 30 seconds and then talks and doesn't run all of the time, it isn't broken that's just the way it is. I was really disappointed in this product because now we'll be buying him a new weedeater for christmas.

2 out of 5 stars never again   September 5, 2008
Rebekah Demorgan
lawnmower dosen't say a thing even with new batteries. Weed wacker blades don't spin. Couldn't return it to amazon due to their package requirements and anybody who has opened toys knows what I'm talking about. Called playsool about it and they sent a toy for a nine month old stating they didn't make this toy any longer and that it wasn't rated for 2 and up even though that is what the package clearly states. Oddly enough saw it on a store shelf a week later. Between what we paid for it plus the shipping, never again.

4 out of 5 stars Great mower, can't say the same for Zip the Trimmer ...   August 2, 2008
A. Bishop (Vermont)
The mower toy is great - toddler son loves it, just be warned that it is fairly loud. Unfortunately, the Bonus Zip the Trimmer's blades stopped spinning after about 5 minutes of use. Worth the price I paid just for the mower, but a little disappointed with the trimmer toy ...
