Editorial Review
The circus is always in town with this engaging Fisher-Price toy for the preschool set. Kids can assume the role of the ringmaster and orchestrate the entire show under the big top. Children can parade the four animal figures around the ring while uplifting circus music plays in the background. They can also guide animals across the trapeze and help them ride the teeter-totter, climb the ladder to the high dive, visit the funhouse mirror, or masquerade as the strongman. Older preschoolers can play out plenty of pretend scenarios by themselves or they can collaborate with other children. Younger kids may be content just to explore the soft plastic animals and their various textures: the elephant's leathery ears, the lion's fleecy mane, the poodle's poofy pom-pom ears, and the monkey's bendable tail. This toy requires three "AA" batteries (not included) to play the music. --Cristina Vaamonde

2 out of 5 stars Don't buy this   November 7, 2008

I am telling people not to buy this toy. Like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, this toy causes injuries. My Daughter has scratched herself on it several times, and so have I. She also never played with it. Also, It is a VERY boring toy. With the money I paid for it, I expected more. I just try to sell it at a Garage Sale for $1, and I couldn't get rid of it. I ended up throwing it away, instead of donating it to Salvation Army with the other stuff I donated. You're better pff purchasing something else a little safer, and a little more fun.

2 out of 5 stars It's so cute - but why don't they play with it?   November 6, 2008
L. Marshall (Wildwood, MO United States)
My five year old was a HUGE fan of all things Little People, so when daughter number two came along, I thought, "How can I go wrong with more Little People stuff?" Well, apparently Little People aren't her bag. Bummer deal, because this is really cute, but doesn't have much for the kids to do with it. Even my five year old who loves her Little People never really took to this. She's all about her imaginative play, but this for some reason seemed to be lacking something. I just never felt there was much that the kids could really DO with it that would keep them entertained... There are other Little People pieces that were so much more well received, like the house, the farm/barn, the carnival stuff with ferris wheel, the playground... those all have gotten hours of play. This particular item though seems to leave the kids baffled when it comes to stories. ?

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Toy   January 12, 2008

I bought this for my 1 year old for Christmas and my 4 year old ended up loving it just as much as the 1 year old. Some of the reviews I had read said that people thought the swing was too hard for their children to use. We did not have that experience. My kids love this toy.

5 out of 5 stars Love the circus!   September 19, 2007

My son got this little people circus for his 1st birthday and he loves it. I wasn't sure if he would like it but he really uses his imagination with it and he can play with it for hours. He especially loves the monkeys tail and the music. I would have never thought of buying this for him but I'm so glad he received it as a gift because he's so happy when he plays with it. By the way, I read some of the reviews about this product and my son hasn't had any problems with it.

My 2 year old daughter saw this at the store and had to have it for
Christmas. She loves it, and I love that it doesn't do all the work for her, and it serves as a platform for her imagination. It's a great stage for all her characters to do various tricks that she and I create.
