My 2-year-old loves this toy. It plays a variety of calssical songs with 4 different types of musical intruments (though only two at once). The volume is slightly on the loud side, but not bad. The songs are complex and not irritating. There is an on/off switch that lets you stop in the middle of a song, if you need to. It has soft corners and is about 3 inches in each direction, not too big of a toddler to carry around. My older children (7 and 10) also approve, though they don't often play with it. And it can stop my crying 1-month old in her tracks for a moment or two, a real blessing!
