I like Melissa and doug products.
They need to remove "jumbo" from the label. I was surprised at how thin these are.
This is indoor chalk for writing on black boards. If you use it outdoors (and the package says you can) prepare for every piece to be broken.
It's nice that they don't roll.

I gave these to my nieces and nephews for Christmas and by the time the day was over, we had Christmas art all over the driveway - best part, it washes away with a waterhose or the rain, but we left it there to enjoy it. They were so proud of themselves. Great item.

I really wish that I had read the reviews before purchasing this chalk for my 2 year old. We bought it for our outside patio and it just has not held up on concrete/bricks (even though the packaging says that it does). The chalk broke the first time it was played with. Melissa and Doug usually make great products so I went on name alone. Got burned this time.

these chalk pieces are too skinny and break easiley when drawing on the pavement. As soon as my daughter starts drawing, she ends up with several little pieces of chalk instead of one.
They should work fine for writing on a board.

This is some durable chalk! I have a very active 2 1/2 year old son, and he can destroy almost anything. We've been using this chalk for months now and none of it is broken yet. He loves using the chalk, and he has learned the colors of each one. It writes very well on the Step 2 chalkboard that we have. I don't have any bad things to say about the chalk, it's great for little ones!
