small, light, dim - expensive batteries November 3, 2008 Tackett Austin (Oakland, CA USA) This lamp is very small and light, but a bit dim. It also uses more expensive "button batteries". If being super light is important to you, this may be a good choice. I'm willing to carry a few more ounces and get a brighter beam, longer battery life and more common AAA batteries with this Tikka Petzl E47 PS Tikka Plus Four-LED Headlamp, Soft
it's alright. October 18, 2008 Bush Mom The battery doesn't have a long life and I can't get replacement batteries shipped to me because of my unique location in bush alaska. But for occasional use it's a good light for the price.
Good for close up, not good for walking in the woods. September 28, 2008 Two kids mom (Tijeras, NM United States) My son took this camping and informed me that it was great for reading in the tent, the little light can be angled on the head strap to point in different directions. He also informed me that it was NOT ENOUGH LIGHT for walking in the woods in the dark, one LED is apparently not bright enough to illuminate a far enough distance and he informed me he wants a brighter flashlight next time.
Got my through a bind! January 11, 2008 M. Prince (Northern California) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I had reconstructive surgery on my left ankle in November of 2007. I was on crutches for three months. I knew that I would not be able to carry anything while I was on crutches. This little head lamp saved the day, or night. When I needed to get up in the night for what ever reason all I had to do was put on the head lamp, turn it on and I had just the right amount of light! I could see great and I did not have to wake up my wife with too much light. The LED is very clear and bright, and the batteries have lasted a long time. There is no battery back to have to mess with. The batteries insert right behind the light, so they are easy to change. This little light works great when you need a light source for short distances. Only draw back is that the light does not have a very far throw. But again for short distances, or for a concentrated light right in front of you, you cannot go wrong with this light.
