Editorial Review
Tractors and dozers and backhoes, oh, my! Nothing beats a big dirt quarry with a whole slough of dirt-pushing, gravel-hauling trucks. This magnetic play set provides a 13-3/4-by-18-inch folding construction site backdrop, against which 14 magnetic pieces can be arranged. Create endless combinations of scenes with a wide variety of vehicles and construction materials. Piles of dirt and rocks can be strategically placed, allowing the dump truck to come cart them away, or the bulldozer to push them to a more useful area. Perfect for taking everywhere. Kids will have hours of constructive, imaginative fun with these permanently magnetic pieces. --Emilie Coulter

5 out of 5 stars Construction Magnetic Playset   October 25, 2005

My son got this for his 4th birthday. He is very big on construction vehicles and I thought it was a good alternative to the old Colorforms sets that we had as kids. He loved it! But since he is extremely active, he could not really sit still to make pictures on the frame. He liked the magnetic board for a little while, then he simply pushed the magets around the floor like they were real vehicles instead of magnetic cut-outs. Most of the magnets now reside on our refrigerator - which is just fine with him!

I purchased @ least 5 different titles of the magnetic playsets - create a scene playsets. Each one has given my children hours of imaginative and creative enjoyment. Without a doubt many of them are thematic in nature with pleasant graphic content. [...]

5 out of 5 stars Busy hands, happy hands   September 30, 2000

This playboard is a great play-value-for-money purchase. I bought this for our son when he was 18 months old, to use on a long plane journey and subsequent vacation. He loved it, and it continues to be one of his favorite playthings. It fits well on an airplane tray and comes in handy in restaurants to keep a busy little hands happily occupied. My son also uses it as a playmat and mixes his diecast vehicles in with the magnetic ones. The magnets aren't overly strong, so do be forewarned that with a young toddler, pieces occaisionally slip off the board...this is only a concern in an airplane/restaurant, where you might leave one piece behind.

5 out of 5 stars A Favorite Toy   May 16, 2000

I gave this toy to my son when he was just over 2- years-old and he hasn't stopped playing with it since. It's compact and portable, great for car trips, and one thing I really love is that all the pieces stay together because they are magnetic. It has the same appeal as stickers, but with more versatility because the trucks and equipment can be easily moved and manipulated on the background board. I would say this toy has given us the best play value for the money. The only problem we've encountered is the excavator has a long slender arm that I keep having to reinforce with tape to keep it together. Other than that, the pieces are stong, durable and colorful. I think this is a great toy and allows kids to use their imagination.
