A really great purchase March 16, 2008 Cattle Pillar (Philadelphia, PA USA) I have had this for two weeks now. I got the theater with the Winnie the Pooh story for $9.00 on sale at Wal-mart and haven't regretted it. My kids, 18 months and 3 years, love it. It doesn't replace reading books though. I use it only on bedtime mode right now (where it just plays the story and shuts off on its own). Actually reading the book and flipping through the slides defeats the purpose I think (of sending them into sleep induced euphoria). I read them 2-3 regular books first with the lights on, then I put the projector on in the dark and it lulls them into sleep mode. I haven't tried looking for other stories yet so I am not sure how expensive they are or how hard to find they are. But as of tomorrow I am on the hunt. They love the pooh story but I imagine it will get old after a while. There are a couple slides that just seem to be fuzzy regardless that the other slides are crystal clear. I find that a little strange but it doesn't seem to bother my kids so I don't let it bother me. Overall this is a great purchase and especially for the low low price I paid for it! Shop around!
Works like a charm.. March 6, 2008 BeepBeep (Seattle, WA USA) My 14 month old daughter has always been fascinated by lights. I was looking for a star projector to use at bedtime for her and ran into this product. The product is great. Pop in the batteries and ready to go. Makes somewhat loud noise while turning on, changing the slide. Narration is synchronized well with slides. Haven't tried the book reading mode yet. I project onto the ceiling. Just watching it, my daughter finishes her milk and goes to sleep. Works like a charm..
Terrible! February 6, 2008 W. Surrey (LA, California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's cumbersome, picture is fuzzy at times and umimpressive all the time, it's a pain to use in theater mode, and, most importantly, it didn't capture my kids attention for more than 2 seconds. Save yourself the time/money- buy a book and a dvd for the kids and ask them which one they want to do instead of trying to do both with this poor product and gaining nothing for your effort but frustration and boredom. Bottom line, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Great but would love more stories! January 31, 2008 Heidi L. Neverman (Green Bay, WI United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My children ages 5, 4, 2 and 1 all love this projector and we purchased four of the stories right away. I am having rouble finding any more than what I have that are the correct size. I even went to Spinmaster's website to research what compatable stories have been made but they don't even list this in their product list. Great projector but I desperately need more stories.

just put the munchkin to bed with this tonight, he wanted to see it twice! we're definitely fans. i particularly love all the options it comes with-theater, reading and bedtime modes (automatic turn off after story)...nice alternative to the usual storytime experience.
