The main reason I am giving THE SUPER FIST SMASH IRON MONGER Action Figure a five star rating is out of all the Iron Man 7" Toys that Hasbro manufactured in movie merchandise is the fact my son absolutely loves it. Iron Monger is made very well. Kids can be pretty tough on their toys; however, when a figure stands the test of playing with on a daily basis and doesn't break it is well worth the price.
You may not know this, but Iron Monger is getting more difficult to find. As soon as Amazon runs out, the price will skyrocket in price. I only paid $[...] for this particular action figure when it first came out at Toys R Us. It is selling now for $[...] plus shipping. You do the math. It has already doubled on the secondary market. All retail toy stores are out of it and Amazon is one of the few places it can be purchased. This alone is evidence that the 7" Iron Monger figure is also a serious toy to collect.
I teach Special Needs students as well as regular Middle School students. Whenever I give my students a writing assignment, it is evident that when a child uses creative thought, a teaching tool such as this figure opens all sorts of ideas for the students. This one in particular has increased my student's desire to write because it is not only unusual to look at, the Iron Monger is not as popular as the regular Iron Man action figure. This allows the child to create his or her own stories related to the character itself. Kids have great imaginations and just by presenting an action figure with different prompts such as asking questions for these kids to figure out, establishes a way for the students to increase creative writing. Consider questions such as:
1. Who is he?
2. Is the character a she in disguise?
3. What is his family like?
4. What does he eat to survive?
5. Is Iron Monger a robot or just a man or woman in disguise.
There are so many ways an action figure could be considered a tool to help a student with his reading and writing skills. Parents can use these ideas at home as well.
If the public schools don't take away art from its curriculum, consider having one's child draw a partner for the Iron Monger. The kids can work in teams as well. It takes a creative teacher as well as parents interested in a child's education to pull this off.
I hope most of you that have read this review understand where I am coming from when I say this is definitely a five star toy.

The IronMonger is 7 inches tall. It is bigger and bulkier than Ironman. It has a brownish darker color oppose to the silver color scheme from the movie. There are two variants of wave one. One with the red eyes and red unibeam. Making him look more menacing. Which is rarer to find. There is also the more common blue eyes with blue uni-beam from the movie. Now for the articulation. The head turns. Shoulder, forearms, wrists also turn. The waist turns. One thigh has limited movement. The other doesn't move at all. Both knees bend. Ankles on the feet move up and down. In conclusion the sculpt of the whole IronMonger is nice but it suffers from thigh movement in the legs due to the weak and unnecessary so called super fist smash gimmick.
