5 out of 5 stars My Daughter Loves Her Vsmile Pocket   October 30, 2008

My daughter got this game from her grandparents for Christmas 2 years ago and she loves it! I read the reviews and noticed people were having trouble with it shutting itself off and stopped working, we have had it shut itself off a few times but usually was because batteries were low so once we replaced them or plugged it in it was fine. It does go through batteries kind of quickly. But the games are great and my daughter loves it. It is great for long car rides, travling by plane or going to a resturant or some other place they need to sit queitly! It seems to be pretty durable my daughter has dropped hers several times and it is still working. My newphew also got one and his is still working too. The price has come down now too so when this one dies I will defineitely be buying another one!

Great method of taking the V.Smile games with you on trips. The system is very easy to use and the controls can be switched (easily) to left or right with a push of a button.

Great price through Target store on Amazon.com.

My girls love this VSmile Pocket. It is very fun for them, learner friendly, and durable. They have dropped them a few times and have bumped into one thing or another and they are resiliant and durable! They are 5 so I needed something that would last. It has been 2 months and still going strong. Have been great for road trips or even short trips running errands.

I would definately recommend one.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic toy!   June 19, 2008

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas (she was 3 at the time), she's now 4 and still loves it! We started with 3 games, she enjoyed playing them all, as well as being able to control when she wanted to start and stop the game. She would spend a good chunk of time just turning on a game, playing for a few minutes, turning it off, changing cartridges, and starting all over with a new game. We just bought a 4th game, and it still brings her hours of entertainment! Great for getting errands done, waiting at the doctors office, or even road trips! The battery life has been pretty good, though I don't remember what type of batteries we used. Don't buy the case, though. We bought a 2 compartment lunch box. One compartment is perfect for the unit, and the smaller is great for the games. It's much cheaper and far more practical. The vsmile case doesn't have room for the games.
All in all, this is a great toy. I really see her learning while she's playing. She'll be sitting in the back seat, talking back to the unit. It'll ask her to find something that starts with the letter B. It will show a flower, a ball and a log. She'll whisper to herself "buh buh ball! Ball starts with B!" I get so proud of her for figuring it out for herself!
Absolutely worth the money!
