4 out of 5 stars Works on my son's original Leapster fine   October 1, 2008
April J. Carman (Richland, WA United States)
I was surprised to read that others had trouble with this case for the original Leapster. Ours fits just fine.

I did deduct one star as I would REALLY like more cartridge storage and additionally that it is more secure than a piece of elastic.

4 out of 5 stars Fits 4 cartridges   September 7, 2008

My star rating on this product is based on the CASE ONLY, not the game system!

I just got this in a set with my son's Leapster 2, and it certainly seems durable and that it would protect the Leapster from falls. Inside there is an elastic band over an indented space that will hold 3 cartridges, but if you are using this for the Leapster 2 and you store a game in the Leapster, it can hold 4 cartridges total. It is very easy to close over the Leapster 2 system. If I didn't get this as part of a set, I would certainly have bought some sort of carrying system. I probably would have bought something that would hold more, like a back pack. That way I could store a bunch of games, charger base, and the system inside. I still might buy a back pack, but I most likely would have bought this case for extra protection inside the back pack anyway.

1 out of 5 stars Space for only 3 games   August 27, 2008

It only fits 3 games because it doesn't have an extra pocket, and the little hole it has to fit them in, doesn't secure them too well. At $20 per game, I think there should be a better way to protect your investment. The old one is a lot roomier and you can put 6+ games on the outside pocket.

5 out of 5 stars Sturdy Case Fits Leapster 2   August 11, 2008

We got this case for our daughter's Leapster 2. It fits the Leapster 2 unit well and has additional space for 3 games or extra batteries. It is good for travel or just taking the game to grandma's.
