My baby loves this! August 29, 2008 Amy Stocking (South Jordan, UT) I bought this for my son when he was 6 1/2 months old. He loved it from day one. He loves to look in the mirror and push all the buttons and pulls. The music gets stuck in my head, but at least there is more than 1 song to listen to, like other toys. I bought this based on the reviews from other buyers and I have not been disappointed.
Fun and entertaining August 27, 2008 C. Keyser (Virginia, USA) My daughter enjoys playing with this toy. She laughs every time she sees herself in the mirror and she loves banging on the buttons, which are super-big. The buttons cause little people to pop up, and she loves trying to catch them before they fall. Also, the wide spread of the toy's legs make it sturdy enough that she can pull herself up without making me afraid that it will fall over on her. The music is a bit cheesy, and the microphone doesn't seem to have a purpose (it's more like a rattle), but overall it's an enjoyable toy.
My Child Loves It! August 21, 2008 Beeg (NJ, USA) When I first saw this toy, i thought it was a glorified music box. My husband, on the otherhand, insisted on paying $50 for it. Turns out this toy has two settings-one will play music no matter which buttons are pushed, the other will play sounds based on the different "instrument" buttons. My 10-month old loves banging on it, and loves to watch me in the mirror while doing so. If she moves onto another toy, this toy will make sounds to "remind" her to come back. I am a believer of teaching our child to concentrate on one toy before moving onto another, so I am glad we have this toy that can grasp her attention. It also comes with lyrics of the songs, in cardboard so she can't tear up, so I can see her growing into it. I still think it is overpriced for what it can do, but it is a great toy nevertheless. On a side note, the packaging is weird and very difficult to unpack. Do not open it while the child is around, as it can become very dangerous. The toy came in the "on" position, so while I was fighting the packaging, it made so much music that my baby kept coming over to investigate. My mom had to restrain her while I unpack it. I wish FP will change the packaging to make it easier to open.
Long term value August 20, 2008 A. Robinson (USA) I received this for my (at the time) 6 month old daughter from a family member as a gift. Six months later, she is still playing with it! Not every day, but she loves to turn those tunes on and "wiggle" to the beat. From about 6 months to 9 months, I would say it was one of her favorite toys. I had fun sitting with her in my lap and "dancing" with the music, clapping, etc. It was also a great "pull up toy" for her to stand and hold onto.
Very pleased.. August 20, 2008 N. Warncke (Columbus OH) We bought this for our 1 year old for his birthday. Not only does he love it, but so does his 3 year old brother. The music is nice and upbeat (especially for Fisher-Price). And, we like that you can just change it to music without words. What we really enjoyed was that our 3 year old hits the buttons and the guitar starts playing or the piano, etc. He tells me when the new instruments come into the background of the music, building the medleys. We are very glad with this purchase and would definitely recommend.
