4 out of 5 stars great product   September 19, 2008

I purchased this for my first grader to help with addition and subtraction, it is small and easy to use. We bring in the car on long trips along with his gameboy and he uses both for entertainment. There are different settings that he is timed or does as many as he can in 1 minute. The good thing about this is it also has multiplication and division for my older son so he can use too.

5 out of 5 stars Great Tool for Math Olympics !!!!   September 7, 2008
Normal Guy (Houston, TX USA)
I bought this machine when my kids were 4,6 and 8 (4 years ago). My youngest started using it since he was 4 (although it says min age is 7 - not sure why). Today they are all math olympics champions. My oldest is in 7th grade taking 8th grade math, including calculus. This machine is incredible. It is worth every single cent paid. I am very impressed with the way it was designed, even though it looks (very) ugly. We did not have to read the manual and have not done it to date. In addition to the regular format of tests, it allows you to solve for x (the ?). My kids still "enjoy" using this machine, even my oldest who is 12 now. We have timed competitions and prizes ($), which makes it a lot of fun. The beauty is that you do not have to be with the child to control the results, the machine does it all automatically. I highly recommend it. I would say in our household it has been kids tested and both parents and kids approved !!!

4 out of 5 stars Great!   August 26, 2008

Both of my boys picked this up and figured out how to use it right away (ages 4 and 6). They enjoy "racing" to get through their math facts. I think that we will be using this often over the years.

It has quiet noises for both correct and missed problems.

3 out of 5 stars It's not fun but it does the job.   June 27, 2008

This isn't "fun". It's a way to practice math drills, and it does a good job of reinforcing math facts. Our kids do it but they don't have fun. Don't expect your children to think this is a game. Our kids would rather do math Wrap-Ups.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible tool for ANYONE who needs to know Math Facts   April 21, 2008
James B. Schneider Jr.
FLASHMASTER is the best tool for assisting learners of ANY LEVEL to learn their math facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It provides so many different presentations at 9 levels of difficulty that before a person is going to get bored or not challenged - they will REALLY know their math facts. Bright or not, young or old, FLASHMASTER can make learning math facts fun and challenging.
