5 out of 5 stars Your child will enjoy this item!   September 6, 2008

My 4 yr. old grandson began displaying a huge interest in outer space this year, particularly the moon. I bought this telescope and planets book to provide him with basic knowledge, and a "hands on" view of the stars and moon. He looks forward to taking the telescope outside when the sky is clear and the moon and stars are visible. He's beginning to memorize and call out the planets, and I'm delighted that I made this investment in him. This product was simple to assemble and use. It's not sophisticated, but that's not what I was looking for. It's a great product for youngsters under age 8.
