Fun game and teaches great skills August 13, 2008 Bargain Shopper (MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this for Christmas in 07 when my son was 2 1/2. He didn't play with it much, but now at 3 years old, he loves this game. He loves the whole Thomas family and this game is his favorite. The manners they teach are good, and my son likes to play along with the characters is acting out the manners or emotions. As for the durability of the disk, not so good. We are on our second disk now. Even with very little handling by my sons, the disk is scratched just enough to not work for some of the games. It shuts off when trying top play. I wish they could find a way to make them more durable for a product for kids and used by kids. I do put the disk in for him, but occasionally he will get a hold of it and I guess it gets scratched easily.
expensive July 25, 2008 Lisa F. Kroening (hilton head, sc) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this toy, and couldn't tell that you needed to purchase an expensive piece of other equipment to use it, and i have purchased a LOT of leap frog items and it's always clear what equipment it works on. so now I have had to spend another $40.00 on a piece of equipment that doesn't have many games with it, and he will outgrow in one year. I would have been better off buying something else.
play and learn with thomas January 12, 2008 A. Aquino (cincinnati, ohio) LeapFrog Little Leaps Thomas & Friends: Exploring Manners and Emotions I bought this for my son who is 2 and 9 months old and he just love Thomas. He always asking to play thomas. The game is toodler friendly, easy to use. It teaches about feelings and what they mean. Is great. They are part of the story and teaches thme about making choices. Great item to have.
Little Leaps Thomas December 19, 2007 Nicole B. Eyman (Germantown, MD United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this and Dora at a special discounted rate around the holidays for my 2 yr old son. We tried Dora first and both of us were bored. So I was skeptical about how Thomas would be. But thank goodness my son enjoys it, as do I. While he doesn't watch the Thomas television show he is familiar with the trains so it grabs his interest. This game covers manners, feelings, letters and numbers and focuses on social skills. As far as the toddler Little Leaps line goes I find this one to be one of the best ones, with Leap Ahead as my second preference, though I don't care for the LeapFrog characters on it (we have yet to try the Backyardigans game).
Great for toddlers December 1, 2007 K. Nolan 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just got this for my 2 year old. We have a few of the ones that first came out. He enjoyed them but they didn't hold his intrest as well as this one. My son isn't a big thomas fan but he played staight through this one and wanted to play again. It talks about manners and letters and numbers. It really got him using the joystick which the others didn't. The only reason I didn't give it a great durability rating is because as anyone who has this system knows they are on dvds and although my son hasn't broken one of these yet he has broken other dvds. If you are deciding between Thomas or one of the non tv character games chose Thomas.
