Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
As it hovers in midair, this nifty globe will outfit your environment, bring on some praise, and give your brain a geography review. It's the wondrous world in distinctive, 21st century design. An exquisite reference globe that will impress upon you the vast beauty of our planet, intrigue you enough to study it, remind you to look up the location you heard about on the news or read about in the morning paper. In addition to its fascinating ability to float on air with electromagnetic technology, this globe ranks high for its accurate and clearly labeled representation of the world, modern design and attractive sheen of metallic blue & silver colors. This version is particularly appealing to the sort of "up to the minute" person who finds the new - exciting & fresh. Combining modern technology with contemporary styling, this uniquely designed globe will add valuable stimulation for the intellect and an air of distinction to home, school or office. The fact that it levitates as well, that's just another very cool and praiseworthy asset. Remarkably precise. This globe has cities, states, provinces, countries, islands, rivers, lakes, seas, oceans, islands, mountain ranges, deserts, equator. No lines to detract from the simple elegance of this eye-catching globe. Globe levitates with electromagnetic technology Detailed presentation of information No lines of latitude/longitude to detract from the simple elegance Highly opulent with metalic blue & silver colors An ideal world reference for home, office, school Includes instructions and power plug Ages 7+

2 out of 5 stars Pretty from afar, doesn't actually work.   December 26, 2007

I bought this globe for my husband as a gift. It takes a while and some practice to get it to levitate and even once you can get it to levitate it only works for maybe a minute before the magnet at the top snaps it up. The globe itself is a thin, cheap plastic. I'm really unimpressed by this item, especially since it is fairly expensive for a globe. If the globe itself wasn't so cheaply made I wouldn't mind that the "levitation" is sketchy and brief at best. I would recommend people pass on this on this item.

It's difficult to make it spin without pushing it loose from the magnets.
