2 out of 5 stars Weird   August 29, 2008

I purchased this and a HABA Nelly doll for my 13 month figuring I would let my daughter decide which one she wanted (if any). She has no interest in the Madame Alexander doll at all. She carries her Nelly doll every where. She can't explain why, but the difference I notice is the hug factor. The Madame Alexander doll has a huge plastic face which is kind of freaky looking and her body is a very soft pillow. It's just weird how the face is so hard and the body is so soft. This doll, Nelly, and a few others are in her crib to allow her to pick the one she wants. We'll see if she ever turns to Madame Alexander. I'm sure that this will wind up at Good Will. Nelly is great. She's great to hug and very easy to carry around since she is material. Nelly has clothes that you can change and fun hair. Check her out if you looking for a non plastic first doll. HABA makes great products.

I purchased this doll for my granddaughter's first birthday. She fell in love with it right away. She digs through her toy box for it, taking it for a ride in a basket, buggy or whatever is available. Today, she fell asleep cuddling it at nap time. It is an adorable doll; very soft, and the perfect size. Wonderful first doll!

5 out of 5 stars Good toy for little girls   August 2, 2008

I got this for my daughter for her second birthday. Its very soft and durable. She threw up chocolate milk all over it and I was able to get it all out with just some wipes. Good choice for small children. Overall its a good product due to no removable parts, soft, durable and easy to clean.

5 out of 5 stars Baby Girl loves her baby girl   June 23, 2008

Bought this for my precious 18 month old granddaughter for Christmas and she hasn't let go of it since. The face it beautiful, the body cuddly and it's a great size. Just big enough to cuddle but not so big that they can't carry it themselves. It has been machine washed a few time and has come out well. Note to Moms: buy a second one and and swop them out at laundry time so they get the same amount of wear. Just don't let your little angel know there is a second "baby" or she'll want them both. It's a life saver.

I purchased this for my 1 yr old cousin. She did not have a baby doll yet so this was the perfect gift. First of all it is Madame Alexander. You can never really go wrong with these dolls. The price for a cute doll is great. The doll itself is all soft, with just the face plastic. The back of her head is soft. It is the ideal doll for 6-24 months. No hair to get tangles, no pieces to loose. It is washable for when it gets dirty, a plus with little ones.

My cousin loves it and carries it all around. It's her favorite toy. Not really an educational toy, but what dolls are? There is a pink doll and a blue doll. We got the pink one. The only complaint is that I could not find the ethnic version of this doll. Not sure if it even exists.
