Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Dora loves to cook up wonderful feasts for her family, making this Dora Kitchen Island an essential addition to Dora's Talking House. It comes with a transforming table that "magically" expands, plus four chairs and four complete rotating table settings. Attaches to Dora's Talking House, sold separately.

Editorial Review
When Nick Jr. cartoon star Dora the Explorer is not off on an adventure, she can be found in her house with her Mami and Papi. This furniture set decorates the kitchen within the Fisher-Price dollhouse version of the Latina adventurer's home. The pack includes an expanding table, four chairs, and four table setting. All furniture is made of durable plastic. Kids can acquire furniture sets (sold separately) to furnish each room until the house is complete. Kids can also collect additional figures and accessories so all Dora's friends and relatives—Abuela, cousin Diego, Swiper, Boots, and Tico--are present. --Cristina Vaamonde

5 out of 5 stars Versatile!   March 27, 2007

My little girl likes the idea that she has this instead of the other regular table set bec. there's another oven plus a pot & blender that go with it. Like the other table set, you can invert the plates to reveal the food.

There are two kitchen sets to choose from. This is the cheaper option at $7.99.What's nice about it is that it comes with a blender.Too bad it doesn't come with a small pie to put in the oven.

This is very similar to the dining room set, I would only get one or the other and not both pieces. The pot barely fits in the stove and gets stuck in there which frustrates our 3 yr old daughter - she does enjoy playing with the set a lot though.

3 out of 5 stars Intentional Shopper   January 19, 2007

I purchased the Dora the Explorer Talking House Christmas 2005. It was a big hit with my than 3 year old daughter. I 've since added the nursery extension to the house. When Dora's Kitchen Island set came along, I included it on the Christmas 2006 shopping list. My daughter really enjoys the set. I like the fact that the piece fits in with the overall decor of the kitchen. In other words, it does not look out of place. My only issue is that the kitchen floor space is limited and tends to get a little over crowded.

5 out of 5 stars Finally Abuela can reach the cooking area!!!   November 18, 2006
J. Dustin (United States)
One thing that has frusterated us with the Dollhouse has been the hight of the counters - they are too high for Abuela (the grandma) to reach in the slightest. This kitchen island is the perfect hight for Abuela, and the blender/cooking pot were a big hit too. I really like that the chairs can slid under the table area, so they can be "pushed in" after meals, and don't get in the way of other play. The oven is difficult to open, even for me ... I wish it was a little easier for my kids to play with - instead they have to come to me everytime they want the oven opened. The swivling plates are cute, and work well, easy to flip, but stay in place easily once flipped over. My kids have had no trouble getting any of the characters to sit in the chairs ... if they are bumped, they will fall off, but thats how most dollhouses are! Even Mami and Papi or Daisy have no problem sitting. Abuela is the only on who doesn't sit ... but she isn't made to really sit anywhere (poor Abuela must get tired of standing!)

Overall, we love this new accessory, and would definately reccomend it.
