Amazing detail! August 18, 2008

As a parent, I loved looking at all the tiny little parts that came with this set. The detail is incredible. DD got this set for her 3rd birthday and she's not really old enough to keep track of the parts so we've lost a few and every now and then, I will hear an ant sized cucumber get sucked up into the vacuum. It does keep her busy though as she loves anything minature.

This product, along with all other critter corner products, is amazing! There are so many little details that you wouldn't expect for a childs toy. The drawers all open, the food scale pushes up/down, there is little toast for the toaster, aprons for the parents, cookie sheets and little cookies, food/veggies for the fridge, even ice cream/butter/bottles. my 4 y/o daughter loves playing with little pieces and these sets keep her busy for HOURS! I would recommend ANY of the Calico Critter products to anyone.

My six year old daughter loves Calico Critters and has been collecting them for three years now. Only recently has she become very fascinated with playing pretend with the families in her dollhouse. The kitchen furniture and accessories are adorable, well-made, and very detailed. We feel that we got a lot for our money, with opening drawers and cabinets, a realistic refrigerator, and lots of tiny cooking tools and food items. There is so much that it doesn't fit perfectly in the Village Dollhouse, but my daughter doesn't seem to mind, since she enjoys rearranging furniture often anyway.

The kitchen is a very nice and detailed set with many accessories. My daughter and son both like the pieces. I wouldn't recommend it for a young child since the parts are so small, but for an older child (approx 7+) whose fine moter skills are more adept, it is great. We keep all the pieces in a lunch box so they don't get lost. I actually got this and the bunny family for easter gifts...lasts way longer than just candy. I don't understand why these weren't more popular or not widely marketed. Too bad.

This kitchen set is impressive with tiny food, toaster, furniture and appliances. My daughter loved it, and I was impressed with the quality. I think the Calico Critters line is expensive, but the quality is very high.
