 Fun to make, but polish would not dry. October 11, 2008

I bought this toy for my 5yr old daughter. She was so excited to make her own nail polish. We had fun mixing it up and adding glitter, but after we painted our nails it just would not dry. After 10 minutes my nails were as wet as when we started. The good news is we found another use for it. My daughter used the leftover nail polish to paint in a coloring book. Overall, she really enjoyed this toy. It just did not make good nail polish.
 Process is neat, easy and fun. Finished product was disappointing. September 1, 2008

We bought this for my 6 year old and she has had a great time making up her own nail polish. I was afraid it would be really messy but the polish and color/scents are in squeeze bottles so it is fairly neat and easy. The glitter is the only thing that makes a mess.
The only disappointing thing is that no matter how much of the coloring you put in, the polish still comes out clear on your nails. The only thing you can really see is the glitter. My daughter still loves it because mixing up the colors with the base polish is the fun part.
Everything washes off easily with soap and water.
This is a great rainy day project as long as you aren't expecting dark, long-lasting nail polish.
