It includes a silver platform for display purposes, four tall metal poles and adjusting bars of assorted metallic colors. By using the metal poles, kids can suspend their creations in mid-air. Design complicated shapes, planets, or even entire star systems, then hook them and spin them for added fun. This set also comes with the usual Magnetix classic pieces. Magnetic balls can be used as the joints of a structure. Flexors, twisters, bars, lights, and extenders give kids all the options they need to build creative structures. There are enough pieces in here to provide hours upon hours of fun. For extra convenience, the entire set is packaged in a brawny red case, which makes clean-up and storage easy. Great Educational Benefit Whether they are building a vehicle or a skyscraper, kids will be totally captivated by Magnetix, as they explore the power of magnetism and learn how it works. In addition to teaching them the basics of magnetism, Magnetix can also teach them other valuable things. It will go a long way in developing their creativity by encouraging them to use their imagination to concoct new designs and structures. It will also refine their fine motor skills and hone their ability to focus and be attentive. In addition, Magnetix can boost their reasoning skills, as it requires them to follow directions and find unique ways to solve problems. About Magnetix Magnetix is one of the most popular construction toys in the world. By harnessing the power of magnetism, Magnetix allows kids to construct creative, gravity-defying structures. Magnetix toys were released by Rose Art Industries in September 2003, and have since branched out into several different toys, such as the successful "Magna-Man" line. What's in the Box 200-piece Magnetix Set, including balls, curves, flexors, twisters, bars, lights, extenders, and a chain.

Magnetix are great October 30, 2008 Lynn Darling Magnetix keep my 13 year old busy for hours, and he becomes so creative with them. He had a small set given to him by a friend so this set was a real treat.

My son loves this mega case. It has creative aspects with the stand and the ability to build in space. This is not found in the smaller sets. I recommend for any child who likes playing with Magnetics.
Mega Brands Magnetix May 19, 2008 Dawn Miles (Rathdrum, ID) Two of our grandchildren, boy 5yrs. and girl 6 3/4yrs, have so much fun with the magnets. They have them to play with here in our home and we purchased a 2nd set for them to have at their home! Good creative fun for both of them and also helps them to learn how to organize items.
Very good, versatile set May 10, 2008 Neat Mom (Merrifield, Virginia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Comes with everything you need. Short parts, longer flexible ones, stand with rods that you can suspend your structures off. Good starter set for any kid.
Magnets February 8, 2008 Katherine Diane 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
This item was for my husband. It has alot of pieces that can easily be lost. The magnets are in flexible vinyl tubing with magnets at both ends, some of them are not flexible. There are small magnet balls and the metal rods to hang the magnets from. The main plate for support is plastic and can be broken. It is not fun enough for children. It shows how positive and negative ends of magnets work with each other. Overall, legos are more fun.
